This project is about building bridges.

The Amana Stories Project is a space for our Amana community to share transformative narratives, stories, and perspectives around identity, culture, and race that transform the reader’s understanding of community. During Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15), this page will reflect stories from Amana staff, parents, students, board members, and community partners embodying the vastness + richness + depth of the Hispanic/Latino experience. Sharing our stories (and opening ourselves up to understanding other’s stories) is an opportunity to build bonds and connect with each other on a very human level.
Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to uplift and learn about the Hispanic/Latino Community.  This month, students and teachers will explore what makes Hispanics/Latinos unique and what impact and contributions they’ve made in the United States.  Students will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month during Crew.
We welcome you to share your own story, or to peruse through this page over the coming weeks and months to take a peek at this vibrant, beautiful diversity that makes this Amana community so special
