All Amana Students Become Leaders of Their Own Learning
The family of Amana Academy Charter Schools is an educational community with a mission to academically prepare students to be 21st-century STEM leaders and changemakers. Our public schools are tuition-free and non-sectarian; and our unique educational model is rooted in the Harvard-based EL Education model – a pioneering organization in the world of socially-conscious project-based education that empowers kids to be leaders of their own learning, using design thinking and STEM to bring positive change to their communities.
Amana is a place where students feel like they belong and can thrive. We celebrate students and students celebrate each other. From morning Crew to after-school enrichment clubs; and from Community Circle and friendly House competitions to end-of-semester Celebrations of Learning, Student Life at Amana is culturally rich and globally inclusive.
Powered by the Harvard-based EL Education model, our learner-centered, research-based approach meets all students where they are. Through rigor, social-emotional support, and STEM through design thinking, it grows them faster than other schools into high-achieving collaborative citizen scholars. 99% of our students go on to graduate from high school with B+ averages and honors/AP classes.
Amana students come from diverse backgrounds and have unique perspectives yet they learn from each other to appreciate differences and embrace diversity of thought and experience. We meet every student where they are, and grow them to their fullest potential; their success is measured not just by grades, but also by the quality of their work and by how they demonstrate character.
Supporting Amana with a financial gift is a direct investment in a students’ future. As we expand our reach by adding additional campuses and working with local district schools, your investment will impact the lives of thousands of students throughout Metro Atlanta. We believe that the EL Education model is the best, most respectful way to grow students to their fullest potential, and we need your help to make it available to as many students as we possibly can.
