My family is from Ecuador. Both of my parents are from there. They keep traditions alive by bringing memories of their old times, like paintings or anything like that. Sometimes my aunts come over and brings these types of snacks or candy from Ecuador. My mom also still saves dollar bills from Ecuador as memories.  I don’t really have a favorite tradition – I’m still checking everything out. I am proud of my family – we’re doing okay.  And the family that we have back in Ecuador is okay, too – they’re safe and everything. I don’t really feel like my culture is celebrated at school – just maybe a certain time of year, or one day when we celebrate it.
