Children’s Museum of Atlanta

The Children’s Museum of Atlanta highlights the differences in geography and architecture in different continents. In the Gateway to the World Exhibits students will explore weather in different regions and look at major cities in other countries.

Marietta House Museum/Root House

Students will take a tour exploring how our community has changed over time. Students will compare and contrast the 1800’s to the 20th century.

Tellus Science Museum – Fossil Dig & Gallery

The Tellus Fossil Dig provides students with hands on experience. Students will have the opportunity to tour the fossil exhibit, learn about archaeology, and dig for fossils.

    Atlanta History Center – Georgia Farm Life

    Students will tour exhibits highlighting history with an emphasis on farm life.

    Savoy Automobile Museum – The History & Culture of Transportation

    Students will learn the story of how cars shaped Georgia communities. They will be introduced to the different types of transportation and how modes of transportation are different in other communities.

    Georgia Aquarium – Life is a Cycle

    Animals come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors – all of which can change depending on their life cycle stage. Through engaging activities and exploration students will be challenged to think like scientific researchers by investigating the unique life cycles of plants and animals at Georgia Aquarium.

    Zoo Atlanta – Primate Seed Dispersers

    Students learn about pollination of plants.

    Botanical Garden – Plant Diversity

    During this tour, students discuss plant adaptations as they explore the outdoor gardens and the Fuqua Conservatory – particularly the rainforest, desert and Southeastern bog garden.

    Mabry Farm – Educational Tour

    Mabry Farm helps pollinators by maintaining beehives that produce honey, planting seasonal flowers like clover, blackberry, apple, and peach blossoms, and showing how bees pollinate crops.

    Georgia Capital – 

    Atlanta is known for the civil rights movement. This visit focuses on how communities can come together for fairness and equality. Students will explore the diversity and the different cultures.
