Title I
Title I is a federally funded program that is intended to supplement the regular classroom curriculum. Â Students are provided additional support in the core contents areas of ELA/Math/Science/Social Studies. A variety of teaching methods and materials are used to reinforce curriculum concepts.
Infinite Campus
Infinite Campus is our Student Information System and is used to keep track of attendance, grades, and discipline. All parents should utilize the Campus Parent app to keep up to date on your students’ progress.
Attendance
Please complete this form each day that your child is absent from school.
Student Code of Conduct
Amana utilizes the Fulton County Code of Conduct. We encourage families and students to familiarize yourself with this document on an annual basis.Â
School Nutrition
Amana participates in the national breakfast program and the national school lunch program. All parents will need to complete new 2024-2025 Free/Reduced Eligibility forms regardless of whether you are applying for the programs or not.
Clinic
Health, wellness, & counseling. We make every effort at Amana Academy to make sure that your child stays safe and healthy during the day. We follow the policies set forth by Fulton County Schools. The clinic opens daily at 8:00 a.m. and is available until 3:00 p.m.
Wellness Policy
Amana Academy, along with school nutrition authorities, recognizes that child and adolescent obesity has reached epidemic levels in the United States and that poor diet combined with the lack of physical activity negatively impacts students’ health and their ability and motivation to learn.
Volunteering
As a community-focused charter school, volunteering is crucial to the fabric of our culture. Research shows that when parents are involved at school, ALL students do better.Â
PTO
Our Parent Group is a partnership among parents, teachers, and staff, for the purpose of enriching and enhancing the experience of our children at Amana.
Mentor Request Form
Our neighbors at North Point Community Church have recruited, trained and prepared many qualified adults to offer mentoring support to students in both Elementary and Middle schools in metro Atlanta.
Field Studies
Students in EL Education schools learn from fieldwork, experts, and service in addition to learning from text. They use the natural and social environments of their communities as sites for purposeful fieldwork and service connected to academic work.
Transportation
Amana does offer two buses that each pick up from two congregant stops. Seats are limited and allotted through an annual lottery process.
Uniforms
At Amana Academy, we recognize that there is a strong, positive correlation between appropriate attire, good work habits, and good character.
