Amana Students, Staff Experience the Magic of Oman

Our overseas trip to Oman was an unforgettable adventure. From exploring the stunning landscapes to immersing ourselves in the rich culture, every moment exceeded our expectations. We snorkeled in crystal-clear waters, marveled at the beauty of the desert, and experienced the warmth and hospitality of the Omani people. The trip was not only an opportunity to learn about a new culture but also a chance to bond with our group and create lasting memories. It was truly a journey that we’ll cherish forever.

8th grader, David, says, “I cannot decide which part I loved the most, between riding camels, going on the cruise, seeing turtles, getting to see a sunset in the desert, and getting to swim in water holes, it was all incredible. I’ve learned so much about Omani culture, getting to compare their traditions to our traditions, and trying things like Omani coffee and camel meat was awesome, and it’s something I would never be able to say I did, unless I went.”

Ms. Tehreem, a member of Amana’s Exceptional Education crew, remarked, “Exploring Oman’s rich culture and history was amazing, and I learned so much along the way. Our tour guide was outstanding both informative and entertaining. His sense of humor added a fun element to the trip, ensuring we were engaged and never bored. His expertise and ability to keep the atmosphere lively made the experience even more memorable.”

Principal Harris wrote, “Oman was simply jameel/ جميل/ beautiful- landscape, scenery, people, and experience. We are so grateful for our Arabic team (Ms. Rula and Ms. Hana) for their planning and execution of the trip. Thank you to North Point Church who offered scholarships to many families who joined. Thank you to our students and teachers who courageously joined an adventure. Glad we could make memories that will last a lifetime together.
