Lake Lanier Aquatic Study:
Students will test water quality and examine the spread of drinkable water around the world, all in a floating classroom.

Emory Bio Lab by Dr. Hardy:
Expert Dr. Hardy discusses ecology and evolution through studying the anatomy of different animals.
- October 15 & 29 (On-Campus)
- Cost per student: $0 (No cost to students)
Tom Lowe Water Treatment Plant:
Students will tour the sewage plant and learn how water is treated and converted into potable water.
- October 21 or 22, 2026 (Off-Campus, 1/2 grade each date)

West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA):
Through practical activies on how plastic fairs in our world, students understant the impact of plastic pollution both on land and in water.

Mimms Museum of Technology and Art:
Students learn about the history of computer technology and the expectations of the future.

National Civil Rights Museum:
Students compare civil right issues during the Apartheid in South Africa to the civil rights issue in the U.S.A.

Chattahoochie Nature Center – Pond Study:
Students will identify how biomarkers also exist by identifing what organisms exist and what organisms do not.

MODA – Museum of Design, Atlanta:
Students will explore examples from MODA’s past and current exhibitions of objects, buildings, fashion, and more inspired by animals, plants, and natural systems, a process called Biomimicry. Students will then create their own innovation inspired by nature using familiar tools like LEGO, Play-Doh, and crafting materials.
