2026-27 Field Studies: Kindergarten

2026-27 Destinations…

BJ Reece Orchards:

Orchard guide will lead students through bee observation, apple picking, sorting, bagging and storage. Students have an opportunity to pick apples, and receive an apple cider sipper to take home.

    Southeastern Railway Museum:

    Students will ride the historic train and tour the railway museum.

      Center for Puppetry Arts:

      Students see how puppets can be used to tell a story, and will make their very own toy puppet.

      Atlanta Children’s Museum:

      Students will explore a variety of ways that play and learning can intersect.

      Lego Discovery Center:

      Students will explore how toys can be used in our community and how they can be used to practice science standards.

      Fulton Teaching Museum – “What’s Alive?”:

      The “What’s Alive” program will intorduce students to the idea of what is alive and not alive.

        Puppet Guy:

        Students will see an interactive Puppet Show that emphasizes the importance of teamwork, cooperation, communication, and helping others.

                  Zoo Atlanta:

                  Students will get real life experiance observiing how different animals rely on trees to meet their needs.

                  Tree Rally – Alpharetta Library:

                  Treetop Quest Dunwoody:
                  • April 19/20, 2027 (Off-Campus, 1/2 grade each date)

                  Atlanta Botanical Garden:

                  Students will learn about trees in a botanical garden and their role in providing oxygen, shelter, and food.

                  Trees Atlanta Expert – Will’s Park Walk:

                  Expert speaker will lead students on a nature walk through Will’s Park to learn about native trees in their community.
