Playstreet Museum:
Students will explore ways to play in their community.

Students will explore a variety of ways that play and learning can intersect.

BJ Reece Orchards:
This activity builds background knowledge to support understanding as we talk about things like getting food from trees.

Center for Puppetry Arts:
Students will create thier own puppet and explore how puppets can be used to encourage play in different communities.

Students will explore how toys can be used in our community and how they can be used to practice our science standards.

This will be used for 2nd semester kickoff. The “What’s Alive” program will introduce students to the idea of what is alive and not alive.

Students will explore products made from trees and learn about working forests and the role that trees play in our daily lives.

Students will participate in a service learning project where they learn about invasive species and help with the local flora on the beltine.

Expert speaker guided nature walk through Wills Park to learn about native trees in their community.
