Consolidated Gold Mine
Includes history of mining lesson, underground mine tour, and gemstone mining. Students will learn about different rock types while touring an underground mine. The experience includes gold panning and gemstone mining.

Amphibian Foundation
Includes presentation, animal handling, outdoor critter exploration and outdoor lab with a focus on Animal Structures and Amphibians.

Johns Creek Environmental Campus
This hands-on experience demonstrates the various types of pollution and their causes and effects. Students then discover some possible solutions and recognize ways to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum
Students will be engaged with the Legislative branch and its role in the federal government through primary document analysis and discussion. This interactive program will also provide exposure to how the diverse interests of Americans shape our democracy through the legislative process as they navigate passage of a bill.

Dunwoody Nature Center
Students step back in time, becoming various Native American groups that lived in Georgia hundreds and thousands of years ago. They will learn several survival skills such as fire making, shelter building, hunting, and gathering.

Georgia Aquarium
Students will have the opportunity to examine biofacts, marine fossils and images of marine animal remains. They will identify the key differences between rocks and fossils and analyze how fossils serve as helpful scientific tools to dig up the past.
