Poetry Expert 

Expert helps students see poetry as a real-world writing form. Hearing from a published poet gives students a stronger model for voice, word choice, revision, and authorship.

Fur Kids

Students will better understand how people advocate for animals and how service projects can meet real community needs.

Fernbank Science Center

A visit to Fernbank deepens science learning through hands-on and visual experiences. The planetarium and related programs help students connect classroom models to real scientific observation, and brave voices in space exploration.

Alpharetta Arts Center

On this visit, students learn to apply geometry and measurement in a real-world visual arts context. They will analyze how artists use angles, polygons, lines, and symmetry to communicate meaning.

The Atlanta History Center – The Price of Freedom

This docent-led experience gives students a more interactive way to understand the Civil War, freedom, conflict, and the voices of people impacted by history.

Students will observe animals and listen to expert explanations to strengthen research, comparison, and explanatory writing skills.
