The Power of partnerships: Technology in Schools

The city of Alpharetta, GA aims to build a technology culture through partnerships in education. In 2015, Alpharetta partnered with UK-based Kano Computing, a creative computing system that empowers young people and teachers to build technology and create with code. Given shared objectives around authentic learning and 21st century skills, the city matched Kano with Amana Academy, now the first Georgia Department of Education K-8 Certified STEM School.
