2ND GRADERS GIVE BACK TO THE GIVING GARDEN

On Tuesday, April 30, 2nd graders from Amana Academy West Atlanta braved the rain to engage in a service project at Our Giving Garden.  The students had visited for a Field Study earlier in the semester, and wanted to give back by performing acts of service for the community garden.

Despite the rain, students helped with weeding, composting and removing debris.  They loved seeing the goats, donkeys, chickens and rabbits and learning how they contribute to the farm ecosystem.

Our Giving Garden is a 501c3 nonprofit farm and education center with a mission to interrupt poverty through fresh food access, education, and greenspace access. We are grateful to have them as partners for our students’ expedition work, and as a resource in our community.
