On Tuesday, April 30, 2nd graders from Amana Academy West Atlanta braved the rain to engage in a service project at Our Giving Garden<\/a>.\u00a0 The students had visited for a Field Study earlier in the semester, and wanted to give back by performing acts of service for the community garden.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Despite the rain, students helped with weeding, composting and removing debris.\u00a0 They loved seeing the goats, donkeys, chickens and rabbits and learning how they contribute to the farm ecosystem.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our Giving Garden is a 501c3 nonprofit farm and education center with a mission to interrupt poverty through fresh food access, education, and greenspace access. We are grateful to have them as partners for our students’ expedition work, and as a resource in our community.<\/span><\/p>\n
