Club description:<\/strong> Georgia United Nations Assembly (GUNA) is a simulation designed to educate students about civics, communication, globalization, and multilateral diplomacy. In this competition, students assume the roles of ambassadors and engage in a mock session of an intergovernmental organization. They research a country, explore international issues, debate, deliberate, and devise solutions to global challenges. Throughout the simulation, participants must use a range of communication and critical thinking skills to effectively advocate for and advance their assigned country’s policies. Model UN culminates in a 3-day event hosted in a different location of the state each spring.<\/span><\/p>\n
